Joshua Berry (U12)
Joshua Berry is involved in many of the Youth organisations at the Square. He is a central midfielder who plays for our Under 12 team, who can also play in defence. He says, “In my lower school team I played striker for my class teacher, now I’ve been given the chance to perform in midfield for my dad and I get to be more involved in the games.” When he’s not playing football he likes to watch his favourite football team Ipswich Town. Josh was actually the Ipswich mascot at the 2003-2004 fixture between Sheffield United and Ipswich at Brammall Lane, Sheffield.
Matthew Custance (U12)
Matthew Custance lives in Dunstable and was born in Luton & Dunstable Hospital. He supports Luton Town and his favourite player is Enoch Showomni. In his family there is his Mum, Dad, Joanne, Darren, Simba (the dog) and, of course, himself. He likes playing most sports. His favourite holiday destination is Salou in Spain because it is very warm and has a great theme park there called Port Aventura. He likes to relax by taking Simba for a walk. He plays in midfield and likes to try and score goals.
Chris Jones (U12 & U14)
Chris Jones was born in Exeter, Devon and moved to Dunstable in 2001. He plays in defence for the Under 12 team and sometimes plays in goal for the Under 14 team. Chris says: “I like playing in goal but also love having a run out on the field playing in defence.” Chris likes listening to music by Linkin Park and Green Day. His favourite TV shows are Little Britain and Braniac. Chris supports Watford FC.
Josh King (U12)
Josh King plays for Square FC’s Under 12 team where he enjoys playing in midfield. His main ambitions for this season are to score a breathtaking first goal and hopefully help his team mates to win the league. Josh enjoys lots of other sporting activities including tree climbing, Tae Kwon Do, skateboarding and cycling. He supports Arsenal and his favourite player is Thierry Henry.
Alex Marvin (U12 & U14)
Alex Marvin used to play for Dunstable Rangers as a striker. He has recently joined Square FC and now plays midfield. Alex also enjoys playing basketball and rugby for his school. His favourite football team is Manchester United and his dream is to go to a Man U live match one day.
Chris Matthews (U12 & U14)
Chris Matthews plays mainly goalkeeper for the Under 12s and striker/goalkeeper for the Under 14s. He started his career playing for Ashton St. Peters Lower School and then when he was too old he moved on to play for Dunstable Town Under 10s. When he was 9 Chris won two trophies playing in a football tournament in Skegness, one was the “fair play award”. Chris then moved on to play for Watling Rangers Under 13s but didn’t really get a chance to prove himself, so he left and then made his best move to Square FC where he really thanks his friends for inviting him to join. Chris is a season ticket holder at Luton Town FC.
Stewart Mitchelmore (U12)
Stewart Mitchelmore plays for Square FC under12’s as a defender. Stewart says, “I like defending but I still think playing in goal would be cool.” When Stewart is not playing football he enjoys rugby, playing on the computer and eating food. His favourite foods are pasta and cheese, pizza, chocolate cake and cheesecake. His favourite team is Arsenal.
Nik Radakovic (U12)
Nik Radakovic is now playing striker for Square FC Under 12s, although he did start the season playing in the midfield. Nik has also played for Square FC since it started but says he is enjoying this current season more than his first season with the club. Nik thinks that the Square FC Under 12s have a real chance of having a successful season. Nik supports Leeds United.
Harry Samsa (U12)
Harry Samsa plays left midfield for Square FC Under 12s. While Harry is not playing football he enjoys playing on his PS2 and watching the Simpsons. He likes having his friends round and says his favourite food is Spaghetti Bolognaise. His birthday is 7 February and likes going ice skating. Harry supports West Ham United.
