Square FC 11 Memorial
Park B 0
Saturday 17th March 2007
Square Rangers got back
to winning ways and enjoyed a goal feast that gallant Memorial Park
B didn’t really deserve to be on the end of.
The first half saw our midfield Matthew, Jack, Joe and Faheem influential
in the pattern of the game. Their creativity opened up the visitors’
defence with strong running and precision passing which made it
possible for Matt to have one of those games where he bagged five
goals inside the first twenty minutes.
The second half saw Rangers continue their fine work, which at the
same time gave the chance for some defenders to push further forward
and swap roles with the strikers, while Jake deputised in goal.
Again it was the creativity from open play particularly in wide
areas, or dead ball situations that caught the eye helping Rangers
to increase their lead with goals by Matthew, Joe(2), Nathan(2)
and Ashley.
Player of the match:
Faheem Parkar - a good
all round performance which included some strong attacking runs
down the left.
Summary:
Square Rangers used the
time and space given to them with great effect, it was pleasing
to see the quality of the team’s build up play and finishing
that brought together a fine team performance. The effort and spirit
of the Memorial Park B team deserve praise too as they were better
than the margin of defeat might suggest.
