The Green House 0 Square FC 4
Saturday 11th November
2006
In very blustery conditions, that were not conducive to attractive,
passing football, Square ran out worthy winners against determined
opponents.
Although playing with the wind behind them in the first half, I
felt that the Square performance was below that of which they are
capable. Having said that, Square did create more chances than their
opponents and were ahead 1-0 at the break, with Darren scoring.
In the second half, ironically playing against the wind, Square
out in a much better performance and ran out deserved winners with
further goals from Darren (2) and Tom. Yet again Square FC eventually
ground down there opponents and won the game comfortably. However
I think that there is still a lot more to come from this team.
Goalscorers:
Darren Custance (3) Tom
Mitchelmore (1)
Man of the Match:
Andy Kight – commanding
performance and gave confidence to the rest of the team. Foundation
of the win and never looked like conceding a goal.
Summary:
I hope that I am not being too critical about the team but I honesty
believe that they can play a lot better. Although they are undefeated,
I feel that it is about the performance, not necessarily the result.
They have so much ability between them as a team but have played
as if they know that will win the games and they do just enough.
Squad:
Andy Kight
Jack Firth
Mark Chalkley
Ben Keble
Darren Custance
Otto Da-lbanga
Tom Mitchelmore
