Square FC 3 v West Street
0
Saturday 18th November
2006
Saturday saw Square extend their unbeaten run this season with a
hard fought win over West Street.
Although Square were the dominant side in the first half, they were
unable to reflect this in the score, a great deal of this was down
to the West Street keeper. West Street were never out of the game
but Square should really have been leading at half time.
Square’s performance did improve in the second half and they
were eventually rewarded with three strikes from Darren. This was
sufficient for ensure the victory, although Andy had to be at his
sharpest to prevent the concession of a late consolation goal for
West Street.
Goalscorers:
Darren Custance (3).
Man of the Match:
Darren Custance –
excellent second half performance and his goals were the difference.
Just beat Andy Kight though.
Summary:
An in and out performance again from Square but they were worthy
winners in the end. Still a lot more to come and the players know
it. However I cannot criticise the defensive display too much though,
as the side has only conceded three goals in six games.
Squad:
Andy Kight
Jack Firth
Mark Chalkley
Ben Keble
Darren Custance
