St Mary's struck in the
final 5 minutes to earn themselves a last-gasp win over Square.
The confusion in the packed goal mouth allowed St Marys to get the
ball past Chris Jones, in goal.
Square still had a chance to level – with constant pressure
in the dying moments, including a goal line clearance, and yet another
fine save from the St Mary’s keeper.
Freddie had earlier hit forced other good saves from the keeper,
with strong shots from free kicks, while Matt and Ben also had efforts
saved.
Chris Matthews was inspired in the second half, when he moved into
defence for the last 20 minutes, and battled to win possession,
and initiated the counter attacks with his accurate passing from
his own half.
The dramatic late finish was harsh on Square who deserved something
from the game, as both teams cancelled each other out in this lively
competitive match.
