An outstanding defensive
display was the cornerstone of another Square United victory as
the top two sides met at Manshead.
Square United, as they did last week, started the game in a sharper
frame of mind and, although Green House contributed greatly to the
game, Square’s defence restricted them to very few chances.
Square always looked the side most likely to score and Darren struck
to give Square a 1-0 lead at half time.
The second half was very much like the first but Square were unable
to take add to their lead, mainly down to the performance of the
Green House keeper. Green House, to their credit, gave Square their
toughest match this season but could not penetrate Square’s
defence.

Man of the Match:
James Kight – an
excellent performance throughout in a holding midfield role.
Summary:
Undoubtedly Square’s best team performance of the season and
a deserved victory. Green House made them work but Square always
held the upper hand and really never looked like conceding. All
credit to the displays of the defence (Andy, Tom, Ben and James).
