HFC Rangers 3 Square United
4
Saturday 1st March 2008
An excellent first half,
followed by an indifferent second, saw Square United put distance
between themselves and their nearest rivals.
This was a game that HFC Rangers needed to win but they were found
United in an even more determined mood and United had established,
what seemed to be, a winning 3-0 lead at the break with goals from
Darren (2) and an own goal.
However a combination of a fighting HFC side, and some unbelievable
bad defending saw the home side draw level. However this merely
sparked Square United into action and a late strike from Darren
seal the win.

Man of the Match:
Darren Custance - his
goals were the deciding factor.
Summary:
One of the most used football clichés is “a game of
two halves”. Well if there ever was a case of this, it was
this match. Having established a winning position, Square then proceeded
to throw it away in the second half. However they then fought back
to secure the victory that almost certainly seals the league title.
