Elevate 3 Square Rangers 1
Saturday 17th November
2007
Square Rangers turned
up in a good mood looking to put the defeat by City Church behind
them. However, Elevate scored early in the first half to put a damper
on our expectations.
A good spell of attacking play led to James Halling sending over
a good cross for Joshua Fennessey to nod home.
Square dominated the rest of the half with good chances falling
to Tom Foster and Alex Marsh.
Sam Stickings in goal had to be on his toes to stop Elevate increasing
their lead. The first half ended all square.
The second half was very even with Jonny Pratt and Joe Marr having
good games in defence and Daniel Yeoman in midfield.
Pressing for the lead, the Square defence was cut in to by the Elevate
midfield, their striker tried to go around our keeper and, unluckily,
a penalty was awarded.
Towards the end of the game, with Square pushing forward for an
equaliser, the home team secured the victory with a well taken goal.
