Square Rangers 3 Green
House 1
Saturday 15th December
2007
Fine but cold weather
gave the Rangers hope that a good game was possible. Once we knew
that the opposition was short of players the players visibly grew
in confidence.
The match was even to start with and Rangers did not make use of
the extra player. However, the pressure for the home team grew and
we won a corner. Sam Stickings drove the ball across the goal and
Joshua Fennessey was on hand to cooly slot home.
Back came the visitors with increase drive and determination. They
had a few half chances before they struck a excellent equaliser.
The game as 1 - 1 at the interval.
After the break Rangers had most of the game and Alex Whitt scored
a goal from a tight angle to register his first goal of the season.
The Green House gambled the level the game but with time on the
ball, Tom Foster extended the lead with a smart finish.
The game ended 3 - 1 to the home side.
