Chris Berry
is the Square Rangers manager and it was he who had the
initial idea to develop the Square Football Club. Chris
says “Yes I had the idea back in 2003 to start a
football club based at the Square Methodist Church and
in our first season we set up a team playing in the CYFL
Under 14 league, obviously it has been great to see the
Club grow and flourish to where it is now I really enjoy
the Coaching and try to emphasise to my players to enjoy
their football, work hard and always be well prepared
before a match.” Chris is delighted that his family
are all actively involved within the Club with his wife
Linda as Club treasurer and two sons Josh and Nathan playing
for Square Rangers. Chris is a keen Ipswich Town supporter
and really enjoys taking his two boys Josh and Nathan
to Portman Road.

Linda has taken
on the role of Treasurer to Square FC. Linda says "I
am not very good at all the football rules and regulations
but am happy to pop along to the Square FC matches and
lend my vocal support as well as supporting the teams
by looking after all their cash!" Linda, frightened
of being left a football widow in a house full of football
mad lads says…. “if you can’t beat them,
join them”…. and that’s just what she’s
done!
